Joelle Dietrick was awarded a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment of the Arts to support her project Systems + Circumstance.

Dr. Frances E. Anderson is considered one of the pioneers of art therapy for her exceptional work in the field. She is one of the founders and an honorary lifetime member of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA).


The Department of Art History congratulates doctoral candidates Carolina Alarcon, Bryan Schaeffer, and Heather Lundy, who have each been awarded $7,000 International Dissertation Semester Research Fellowships by the Graduate School at FSU.

Interior Design Faculty and Students Attend IDEC


FSU Interior Design was well-represented at the annual Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) conference in Ft. Worth, Texas March 10-15. 


Join us in supporting Florida State University’s Departments of Art, Art Education and School of Dance as we present the 2015 Paint Around Gala & Auction on April 25, 2015 7:00pm at the William Johnston Building. The School of Dance will also present two different programs of Days of Dance on April 10-18.

Annual Showcase Fundraiser


Each year, the senior Music Theatre and Acting students at Florida State University go to New York City or Los Angeles to showcase their talents for industry professionals. 


Last year, Javier Rivera graduated from Florida State University with a BA in Studio Art. As an undergraduate, Javier developed an interest in and an aptitude for 3D modeling, and when given the opportunity, he took on an internship at the Facility for Arts Research.

ASOLO Presents a Performance Anton Chekhov’s “Cherry Orchard”


The FSU/ASOLO Conservatory for Actor Training presents a performance of Anton Chekhov’s “The Cherry Orchard,” direct by Andrei Malaev–Babel.  This performance will feature the entire class of 2016.


The Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography (MANCC) proudly welcomed Bessie and Albert Award winning artist Lisa Nelson to a School of Dance forum on April 1st.

We at the Museum of Fine Arts wish the Spring Graduating Artists all the best and hope the regional community and visitors will share in their cheerful celebration on April 10 from 6-8pm.


An intricate world from the bountiful imagination of the artist Trenton Doyle Hancock will spring forth for visitors to explore at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art starting next month.
