The Museum of Fine Arts recently held an opening reception for the Annual Art Exhibition on January 12, 2018 at 5 PM which ended February 4th. The artistic work of Florida State’s College of Fine Arts faculty members helped to celebrate the spring semester and welcomed in the new year.

Florida State University Music Theatre alum Jessica Lea Patty returns this spring to direct and choreograph the School of Theatre’s spring musical, “The Addams Family”. Jessica is a 7 time Broadway veteran, teaching artist & choreographer.

FSU Museum of Fine Arts presents “Decolonizing Refinement: Contemporary Pursuits in the Art of Edouard Duval-Carrié”, an exhibition co-curated by FSU Art History faculty, Paul Niell, Michael Carrasco and Lesley Wolff, in collaboration with Edouard Duval-Carrié.

Comma’s 2nd volume, Fragments, will be released on February 14. This volume features works by New York-based artists Lorrie Fredette and Carlos Kempff (FSU ’15) as well as FSU faculty members Anne Stagg and Chalet Comellas.

MANCC is pleased to welcome living legacy, Ann Carlson, back to campus as one such artist receiving this sustained support. Carlson will return to campus February 11 – 24 for the final in a series of four residencies supporting the development of her solo project, “Dumbo Redacted”.

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training continues its 2017–18 season with Jean Anouilh’s “The Rehearsal”: a comedic satire about class, love, and sex in the French aristocracy. “The Rehearsal” opens on Wednesday, February 21 and plays through March 11 in the Cook Theatre.
