The Component Award 2018 was funded by the European Union within the framework of the AZEB (Affordable Zero Energy Buildings) project. This time, the award was given for low-cost home ventilation solutions that also contribute to affordable housing. The first place for the Component Award 2018 was shared by the two companies Pluggit and Vaventis for their easy-to-integrate and low-cost solutions for small residential units in particular. The second place was shared by the companies Pichler and bluMartin for their centralised and decentralised façade-integrated ventilation concepts respectively.

Dear iPHA Members,

The International Passive House Conference in Munich was a big event for Component Certification. The conference saw the winners of the Component Award for cost-effective ventilation solutions presented with their awards, as well as lots of certificates being handed over to component manufacturers. Some of the newly certified components included a window system with a range of shading solutions, the first vacuum glazing, an EnerPHit insulation system, as well as grommets for airtightness penetrations. Detailed reports on the respective certified components are stored in the component database. Here are some of the latest certified products.
