WWF-Hong Kong has a long-standing commitment to working with the Mai Po Community for wetland conservation at Mai Po and Inner Deep Bay. To enable our community to connect to nature our reserve and education teams have been planning for new bird hides to support educational and research programmes.
I would like to invite you to visit our project website
which brings together various presentation materials and updates released on the 21st Century Nature Classroom project, during consultations held with the Mai Po Community. I am also now inviting interested individuals to give their advice and comments on the design concept for the construction of two new bird hides planned at Mai Po Nature Reserve.
WWF being a leading conservation organisation will maintain a commitment to high environmental standards throughout the building of these new hides, which will require approval of an environmental impact assessment (EIA). In accordance with the public consultation process in the EIA process we will be releasing findings on various environmental and ecological aspects and will meet statutory requirements and provide regular updates in the coming months ahead of any construction work.
Before our submission of the EIA on hides construction I would welcome your views on the design concepts, which can be submitted by email to email@example.com
in the next day 60 days on or before 3 June 2019.
