SystemX strengthens its development in Singapore

On December, SystemX's news in Singapore were marked by several significant events:
► Michel Morvan (SystemX Chairman) met with several local industry and authority representatives to discuss future  collaborations in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and autonomous transport. During his visit, he also participated in the CSD&M Asia conference to present SystemX, with a specific focus on the insitute's artificial intelligence research works.
► Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) and SystemX jointly organized a "Mobility Futures Series Workshop" on the topic of "Simulation & Validation of Autonomous Vehicles" on December 10. Abdelkrim Doufene (Autonomous Transport Program Director) talked about automated driving simulation and validation.
► The Automated driving Simulation & Validation (ASV) project kick-off took place on December 11. Led in close coordination with Nanyang Technological University, ASV is the first project launched by SystemX in Singapore.

ReIndustry: boosting startups growth



Since 2018, SystemX has been involved in a program called ReIndustry*, focused on industry, energy, transports and aeronautics sectors. This program aims at offering startups a business, marketing and technological support to boost their development. In the framework of ReIndustry, SystemX provided technological support to two startups: Strains and Jarriquez.
* The ReIndustry program is led by Systematic and iNNOECO and sponsored by Daher, ESI Group and Siemens.

My Thesis in 3 Years

Interview with Yann Duplouy
Yann Duplouy joined SystemX in 2015 to work on a thesis dedicated to the application of formal methods to the control of self-driving cars. He revisits his thesis that he completed within the SVA (Simulation for the Autonomous Vehicles Safety) project and supervised by ENS Paris-Saclay.

 
 
 

A SystemX PhD student rewarded at the AFIS Academy Industry Forum

Sonia Ben Hamida, PhD student in the Engineering and Multi-disiplinary Simulation (SIM) project, received the third place thesis award at the 8th AFIS Academy Industry Forum from December 5 to 6. This prize rewards her work entitled "Innovate by designing systems and services fostering value creation: proposal of a value driven design approach in upstream design phases".

IDnomic exhibited at CES

From January 8 to 11, IDnomic attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas at the French Pavilion "Connected Cars France" along with Business France. The company presented its trust services for the protection of digital identities of citizens, corporate employees and the Internet of Things.
CES is the world's gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for 50 years - the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace.

Sylvie Retailleau, elected Chairman of Université Paris-Saclay

On December 19, the ComUE Université Paris-Saclay's board of directors elected Sylvie Retailleau as its new Chairman. She succeeds Gilles Bloch, who has been appointed Chairman of Inserm. She will lead the construction project for the new Université Paris-Saclay institution. 

 
 
 

CSD&M Paris 2018

The 9th conference “Complex Systems Design & Management” took place in Paris from December 18 to 19. This international meeting point, key event for the systems engineering community, focused this year on the “Products & services development in a digital world”.

SystemX, a key player in cybersecurity
SystemX provides cybersecurity training environment in Paris-Saclay. The main lines of this initiative are to raise the level of cybersecurity students through practical work on the CHESS platform, to raise awareness of good practices among SMEs and, in the long term, to provide a training environment for cyberattacks crisis management. In November, Reda Yaich (Project Manager) gave a first cybersecurity training session to a group of senior engineers from Télécom SudParis (IMT) with the support of Airbus Defense and Space.

Feedback on START@SystemX Cybersecurity
The START@SystemX's Cybersecurity first season ended in August. For six months, the startup craft ai integrated the EIC (Environment for Cybersecurity Interoperability and Integration) project with the objective of enhancing cyberattacks resilience for future connected systems. Smart Territories

SystemX supports the energy transformation of the Paris-Saclay area
The PSE (Paris-Saclay Energies) project was launched in November 2018 for a period of 3 years. Its main goal is to assist the Paris-Saclay Agglomeration Community towards achieving its energy and environmental objectives. SystemX's team focuses on tackling the challenges that should be addressed taking into consideration existing and future infrastructure projects on Paris-Saclay territory.

SystemX launches the Blockchain Wallet for Mobility (BWM) project
The BWM project aims at supporting the transformation of territories for the benefit of users by offering richer and more personalized mobility and related services. The project is looking forward to fulfilling this objective with the blockchain technology. The solutions developed will be tested and validated in the Lyon metropolitan area.

Agile Industry

The IRTs SystemX and Saint Exupéry launch the LATTICES project for the dimensioning and the durability of the lattice structures
The IRTs SystemX and Saint Exupéry coordinate their work to overcome the current technological obstacles related to the design and construction of lattices by metal additive manufacturing. This project focuses in particular on developing tools for the simulation and modeling of the mechanical behavior of these structures using a multi-scale approach taking into account the singular properties of the material and the geometrical variabilities intrinsic to the manufacturing process.

Digital transformation of the 2024 Olympic Games
On December 11, Systematic, Plaine Commune, Solideo and Mov'eo organized an event dedicated to the digital transformation of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games (JO 2024). Étienne de Pommery (Agile Industry Program Director) took the floor to share the challenges and ambitions of autonomous vehicles for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

International Conference on Engineering of Complex Computer systems (ICECC)
The ICECC conference took place from December 12 to 14 in Australia. Emma Effa Bella (PhD student in the Collaborative Engineering System project) presented her research works on the topic "Semi-supervised approach for recovering traceability links in complex system" that aims at facilitating the collaboration between different stakeholders in the development of complex systems.
