IU School of Public Health-Bloomington faculty member to serve on NSCA Foundation Investment Committee

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Michael S. Willett, associate chair in kinesiology, has been selected to serve on the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation Investment Committee for a three-year term, ending in January 2021.

The investment committee will assist, develop, monitor and administer NSCAF assistantships, grants and scholarships in accordance with industry best practices, as well as oversee investments with the NSCAF Board of Directors.

“My professional background includes administration in youth fitness and physical activity, strength training and higher education budgeting and finance. The opportunity to serve on the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation Investment Committee allows me to apply my experiences to advance knowledge and opportunities in the areas of exercise science, strength and conditioning research,” says Willett.

Founded in 2007 to support the mission of the NSCA, the non-profit foundation funds members in educational and research endeavors that enhance the practical applications of strength and conditioning. Since its inception, over $2 million have been awarded through more than 115 grants and 440 scholarships benefiting outstanding individuals in the field, including those at the master’s and senior investigator levels.
