This week's episode of the Android Apps Weekly show is sponsored by Stock Market Sensei. This is a stock market trading app that predicts various stock market numbers such as opening and closing prices along with other stats. It also comes with seven days worth of predictions, an intuition game where you can see if your gut instincts are correct, and it's all wrapped up in a simple, easy interface.
You can use the search bar to find various companies along with predictions for each one. It also has a widget that will show you the stock prices of the company of your choice. So far, the app has had decent reviews and gained over 1000 followers on StockTwits inside of two weeks. It's a fun little app and a handy addition if you invest. Give it a shot and show your support for Android Apps Weekly.

Headlines this week
- As it turns out, Facebook Messenger has a few fun little Easter egg games. Many knew that you could type @FBChess and play a game of chess, but you can also send a friend a basketball emoji, click on the emoji, and play a little basketball mini game. It doesn't work on all devices, but it should work on most.
- This War of Mine, our pick for the best Android game released in 2015, is currently on sale for a scant $4.99. This is almost 70% off of the normal $15 price and that is a steal for a game this good. If you've been waiting to check out this game, now is a good time.
- A fun little trick was unearthed this week where you can listen to YouTube with the screen off or while using other apps without having YouTube Red. It involves using Google Chrome and YouTube instead of the official app. We have instructions linked above if you want to take a look.
- Google is working on a new feature where people can test out games without downloading the game. When you search for games in Google Search on your Android device, you'll get the option to try the game right there in the browser. This is a nifty feature that could save people a lot of downloading.
- Disney has announced that a Mickey Mouse themed version of the popular time waster Crossy Road was going to be coming to Android and iOS eventually. There will be over 100 unlockable Disney characters, each with their own soundtracks which actually sounds kind of cool. We don't have an exact release date yet.
- It's rare to see Google turn its back on a feature, but starting with Chrome version 49, the famed browser will no longer merge recent apps with tabs by default. This was something that irked a great many people, myself included, and is the first feature turned off by many people. Soon, we won't have to turn it off ever again.
- T-Mobile has finally gotten YouTube under its BingeOn banner after lengthy negotiations. As part of the talks, YouTube will be doing its own video optimization instead of T-Mobile which is interesting, because soon every other BingeOn member will be able to do the same thing. Score one for net neutrality!
- Minecraft, one of the world's most popular games, is coming to VR. Namely, the Samsung Gear VR. This could be a lot of fun as the game would be perfect as a VR title with its limitless game play and exploration. We'll see how it goes when it comes out.
- Samsung made quite the splash at SXSW with a boot dedicated to C-Lab, which is essentially the Samsung equivalent to Microsoft's Garage Project. Featured were two apps. One allows users to write music and create symponies. Another was called Waffle which is a social media that allows people to add to posts. The third is a device that stimulates your inner ear to make VR more fun.
- Bottom navigation, like we've seen in the Google Photos and Google+ apps, have officially been added to the Material Design guidelines so other app developers can use them as well. So far, the interfaces have been met with mixed reactions but do expect more apps to utilize this as time goes.
- Instagram is the latest social network to consider ditching chronological order. The idea is to show people popular Instagram posts instead of whatever was posted recently. Users are absolutely pissed off and don't want it to happen
- The Oculus Rift is being launched very soon and along with it are 30 games for the platform. This is very encouraging and it's a good thing too because no one likes a console release with no games.
- Star Wars continues to ride the VR wave as it was announced that Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine is coming to the HTC Vive. Our best guess is that the game will arrive in early April.
- Edgar Cervantes puts forth his opinion on how free apps can cost even more than paid ones!
- In this week's Android Customization, Johnny Feist shows us how to use Gravity Box to create our own customized navigation button settings.
