innovation economy in full swing

Last night I attended the announcement of the 2017 Premier's Award for Health and Medical Research. Congratulations to the award recipient - Ms Emma Nolan and commendees Dr Katherine Gibney, Dr Callum Roberts and Dr Amy Winship.

With the second quarter of 2017 already in full swing I have been reflecting on how veski has been inspiring innovation over the past couple of months.

Recently, we had the pleasure of co-hosting world renowned neuroscientist Professor Andrew Maas, over a series of veski events during his visit to Australia

Last month, the Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade presented Dr Vihandha Wickramasinghe with the 27th veski innovation fellowship

This week, shortlisted EOI's for the 2017 veski sustainable agriculture fellowships will be invited to submit a full application.

veski welcomes 27th innovation fellow

Dr Vihandha Wickramasinghe was presented with a veski innovation fellowship on Monday 6 March by The Hon Philip Dalidakis, Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade, in the presence of national and international leaders from research, industry and government partners. Dr Wickramasinghe’s paradigm-shifting research focuses on understanding the fundamental biology of gene expression and how it is altered in the development of cancer cells.
