Festive Flint Street fun
Tim Firth 'feel-good' comedy hits the stage next month
We're delighted to bring you The Flint Street Nativity as our November production.
We can assure you that it will get you laughing and stir some memories of the dramas and traumas behind putting on a primary school nativity play.
It is written by Tim Firth, the playwright who brought us the smash-hit stage comedy Calendar Girls - so you KNOW it's going to be fun.
The Flint Street Nativity began life as a 1999 television comedy, with a cast that included Jane Horrocks, Josie Lawrence, Frank Skinner, Neil Morrissey, Stephen Tompkinson, Mark Addy, Ralf Little and John Thomson.
The stories of mishaps, misunderstandings, playground rivalries and squabbles that unfold as a group of seven and eight-year-olds (played by adult actors) stage a nativity play are based on real events collected over ten years from members of Tim Firth's family and friends who were teachers. Flint Street Primary School is said to be modelled on the primary school that Tim attended and where his mother taught.
The Flint Street Nativity will run from Monday November 9 to Saturday November 14 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are £10, with £9 concessions available Monday to Wednesday. All matinee tickets will be £9.
You can book your seats online - with no additional booking or admin fee - from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/littletheatreco or in person at the Brewhouse box office, or by telephoning the box office on 01283 508100.
