The U.S. Trade and Development Agency is hosting the New Istanbul Airport (NIA) Reverse Trade Mission, which will make stops nationally including Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

There will be a Business Briefing on Tuesday, August 4, at the World Trade Center in Atlanta during which U.S. companies can connect directly with ten high level Turkish officials responsible for implementing the new Istanbul Airport. Specifically, Atlanta companies will learn details about the progress of the NIA; details on the concession that was awarded to a Turkish-led consortium, and business opportunities for Atlanta firms, including the timing, procedures and procurement plans for specific airport projects.

The delegation will include Turkish officials from the General Directorate of States Airports Authority in Turkey (DHMI) as well as executives from the Turkish consortia that are constructing and will operate the airport, IGA Airports Construction and IGA Airports Management

The Turkish government is building a third and larger Istanbul airport, which is currently expected to be operational in 2017. This $10+ billion airport will have an initial capacity of at least 70 million passengers and when the final phase is constructed a capacity of 150+ million passengers.

The registration fee for the Business Briefing is $75 per person. For more information about the business briefing, contact Holly Ackerman by
