Buenos Dias family, friends, and faithful partners!
We are so excited to be sending you this update on our lives and the ministry here in Honduras. We are 7 weeks into GO TO NATIONS 10 week Timothy Internship Program (TIP)! This year we have the honor of serving 11 missionary interns and 9 missionary kids. By far this has been the largest TIP we have had the opportunity to help with. We are so happy and excited to see families coming to the internship feeling called to serve God on the mission field!
The past 7 weeks have been busy, busy, busy! These 10 weeks our field team is dedicated to pouring ourselves into these 20 precious people’s lives. We have loved getting to teach the interns in classes, leading them in devotionals and going with them on outreaches. There is A LOT going on but three ways that our family is specifically serving our team during this internship is through scheduling calendars, accounting, and childcare.
Scheduling calendars and handling finances for 20 people for 3 months is definitely not a fun or easy job! Jesse, being naturally gifted in these areas is doing a SUPER job! His heart is to serve God and serve our team utilizing his gifting but please keep him in your prayers as it is a lot of responsibility!
I get the highest privilege of getting to spend these 10 weeks loving and training 9 amazing missionary kids! Each and every one is precious and unique! Missionary kids have a lot of advantages in going to the field when they are young but they still face many challenges. I can honestly say that these 7 weeks of ministry have been the most fulfilling in my life. Please pray for God to continue to give me wisdom in how to lead and love these children. Although our days are long and many times absolutely exhausting, we are growing as a family and are LOVING pouring into these interns and kids! Please pray for continued strength and good health for our family.
Makai is growing and thriving! He is Mr. Social and is LOVING being with all of these children. He continues to amaze us with how much he is talking (he is speaking is full sentences in both languages)! He is a very intelligent and spiritually discerning little boy. In the past month, there has been two incidents where He has come to us glowing and has told us that he saw Jesus watching him in his room. There was also another incident where we were in worship with the interns where he got so excited and told me that he saw angels above our TIP directors. He is a joy to have! Please pray for God to continue to help us know how to raise him in the path God has for him.
Thank you so much for praying for the transition of the aquaponics unit at House of Mercy! We did successfully transition the aquaponics system over to the boys’ home and the system is doing well. We miss seeing the boys but are grateful to God that our time with them was fruitful and that our goal was accomplished. We had a day to celebrate with them all of our hard work. We took them to the local waterpark. For many it was their first time ever to go and we all had a really special time.
Thank you faithful friends, family and partners! Thank you for your obedience to the Lord and your heart to see the lost saved. Thank you for doing your part so that we can do ours. Together we are changing the world for Jesus. Know that you are impacting the nations. Jesse, Makai and I are so grateful and pray blessings of increase over you!
