Dr. Dan Stock, a McCordsville resident and family medicine physician, spoke on the futility of mask mandates and Covid-19 protocols in most schools. You can watch his 6 minute presentation HERE on Facebook.
So, what is the plan going forward? According to several parents who attended the School Board meeting, "the changes to health plan were tabled until Aug 16 meeting and they agreed to review the information the doctor provided and to table the modified health pending review of that." The Daily Reporter also reported that "Mt. Vernon schools officials tabled a proposed update to its health and safety protocols and will contemplate other parts of the existing plan after receiving feedback from parents and a physician." You can read the Daily Reporters write-up HERE for additional info.
The next Mt. Vernon School Board meeting is Monday, August 16th at 7:00pm. We need many parents and concerned residents to pack the house. In the mean time, please reach out to the board letting them know where you stand.
