The 3 winning startups to join the first season on Mobility are... Citodi, Nextérité and QuantCube Technology. On September, START@SystemX launched the first call for startups for its season on mobility dedicated to startups that are working towards improving the mobility of the future. 


Cyril Orgelot, New SystemX Company Secretary

Cyril Orgelot was appointed Company Secretary on December 1. Member of the SystemX operational management team, he heads the budget and financial management of the Institute, as well as the human resources and the legal affairs.
He succeeds Luc d'Archimbaud, who has been appointed Deputy CEO.


SystemX Shares its Experience on Complex Systems Engineering

SystemX chaired the organizing committee of 2016 CSD&M conference which held from 13 to 14 December. During this event, Paul Labrogère (Autonomous Program Director) and Yann Duplouy (SystemX PhD Student) gave a talk on "Autonomous Transport, a New Complex System".
In 2017, SystemX, via François Stephan (Deputy CEO - International & Development), will chair again the organizing committee, in charge of defining the theme and program of the conference and identifying keynote speakers.

A SystemX PhD Student Rewarded by AFIS

The AFIS Academic and Industrial Forum took place from 7 to 8 December in Toulouse. Emma Effa Bella, PhD student within the ISC project, received the 2nd Prize at the AFIS best Poster competition. This prize rewards her research efforts in the field of  "Innovative Engineering Process for Innovative Systems".


PSA and Renault are Working with IDnomic to Secure Connected Vehicles

IDnomic is the French specialist of Digital Identity. The company created a system for electronic certificate authentication dedicated to intelligent transport systems. This authentication system has already been adopted by PSA and Renault. 


Prove&Run, Winner of the Innovative SME Award

Each year, the International Cybersecurity Forum (FIC) awards an innovative company in the field of cybersecurity. This year, the Innovative SME Award will be assigned to Prove&Run during the 9th edition of the FIC, that will take place on 24 and 25 January 2017. It distinguishes the innovation brought by ProvenCore, a next generation of ultra secure OS, that must be used to protect connected systems against remote attacks.


French Fellowships l'Oréal-UNESCO, For Women in Science

Created in 2007, the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program identifies and supports eminent women in science. All in all, 170 young women received a fellowship. This year, 30 talented doctoral and post-doctoral students will be awarded a fellowship. Applications are now open through March 27!


Systematic Upcoming Plenary Meetings

From January 12 to March 23, Systematic will organize its thematic working groups’ plenary meetings and projects workshops.


SATT Paris-Saclay Call for Projects

The SATT (society for acceleration of technology transfer) Paris-Saclay will launch its 4th call for maturation projects on January 20 at ENSTA ParisTech (Palaiseau). On the agenda: a presentation of the SATT activities and testimony by a project owner.


NAFEMS Call for Papers

NAFEMS is the International Association for the Engineering Modelling, Analysis and Simulation Community. The association will organize a seminar dedicated to optimization by simulation on May 18. The purpose is to facilitate knowledge sharing among researchers, end-users and software publishers. The call for papers is open!

Meet CTI Project at FIC 2017 and hear from our partners!
The 2017 Cybersecurity International Forum (FIC) will take place from 24 to 25 January in Lille. On its booth D23, SystemX will present its CTI project (Cybersecurity for Intelligent Transport), and more specifically its demonstration dedicated to the autonomous vehicle securing. Furthermore, three of our partners will share their experience on their collaboration with SystemX: Coralie Héritier (IDnomic CEO), Christophe Pagezy (Prove&Run CEO) and Antonio Kung (Trialog Deputy CEO).

Bertin IT Continues its Commitment within the EIC Project
Bertin IT is a partner of the EIC project (Environment for Cybersecurity Interoperability and Integration) since its beginning in 2015. On December 9, Béatrice Bacconnet (Bertin IT CEO) and her staff met the project's team and contributed to define the strategic areas of the 2017-2018 EIC roadmap.

Cybersecurity Highlights
The 2016 IEEE CloudCom Conference held from 12 to 15 December in Luxembourg.  SystemX presented a joint paper on the following topic: "An Architecture for Practical Confidentiality-Strengthened Face Authentication Embedding Homomorphic Cryptography". This publication includes a demonstration about the applicability of this technology to privacy use cases.

Smart Territories

Multimodal Transport Simulation, a Key Topic at SystemX
The MIC project (Modeling - Interoperability - Cooperation) ended in December 2016. This project developed new numerical models in order to optimize the rail-bus connections, the passengers information in case of disturbance and the implementation of a car-sharing system.

4 IRT Have Just Launched a Training on Additive Manufacturing for SMEs
Saint Exupéry launched, in collaboration with Jules Verne, M2P and SystemX, an "Additive Manufacturing SMEs Pack" with the aim of facilitating access to metal additive fabrication to SMEs. This initiative promotes the use of additive manufacturing methods in SMEs' activities.

The SiMSEO program attended the 2016 Smart Industry Convergence Forum, from 6 to 9 December in Paris, and organized training sessions and demonstrations.
SiMSEO serves to raise companies’ awareness about current industrial challenges and train them to digital simulation practices.
