Dear Friends and Supporters,
After a busy few months of holidays, February has been a pretty quiet and uneventful month here at Hope Foster Home. We had an unexpected snow but are now enjoying the slowly rising temps and increasingly longer days. The children, although still bundled up from head to toe, are getting to spend more time outside playing on the playground and going for walks with their nannies in the village. Winters here in Beijing can be very dreary, so it always brings us a renewed sense of joy and hope to see signs of spring appearing.
Our preschoolers enjoyed getting to celebrate Valentine’s this month and learned about hearts and the colors pink and purple. On Valentine’s Day they made special hearts for their nannies and presented the hearts to them after class. Many of them also learned how to say “I love you” and it was so sweet to see the looks on the nannies’ faces when they were approached with a hand-made heart and sweet “I love you” from their little ones!

Thank you all for your continued support and partnership; it is what makes opportunities like these possible for our children!
With Love and Gratitude,
Robin, Joyce and the New Hope Staff
