Chamber Plans Detailed Workforce Analysis

The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce is deeply engaged in workforce development in the Palmetto State. The No. 1 workforce issue facing businesses is a talented pipeline that ensures companies remain globally competitive. Key to a strong workforce is the fact that South Carolina has one of the lowest unionization rates in the country. We want to showcase that South Carolina is a great place to locate and expand business.

For this reason, the South Carolina Chamber is pleased to announce plans for the South Carolina Workforce Report, a detailed publication to be released near Labor Day 2015 that showcases what makes the Palmetto State’s workforce great, challenges we face and labor issues employers need to be aware of as they grow their businesses.

The publication will feature experts on issues like changes at the NLRB, ambush elections, new union organizing tools, preparing for a union free future, and more! A special workforce development section will address issues like workforce readiness, recruiting and retention strategies for business, workforce trends, and more! The best part is YOU can be a part of this project, thereby expounding on your workforce expertise. Read More.
