We had a great turnout at the Spring Social this year and we so enjoyed spending the beautiful afternoon with all those neighbors, families and furbabies that could attend! Thanks to your membership renewals, raffle contributions and merchandising purchases we were able to raise close to $1500! As you all know, this is our biggest annual event, which allows us to host parties like the Social and with any overages we can plan for bigger projects on the horizon-like new park equipment. Thanks again to Chris LeCraw and his entire family for helping to make this Spring Social so wonderful, the UHNA Steering Committee for helping with set-up and take-down, FireStation 23 for their attendance and all our amazing sponsors for being on-site and providing awesome food, drinks and raffle prizes. 2. Please report anything in the Park needing attention directly to Other things around the neighborhood can be reported to atl311
  3. A major fundraising push is planned for the Playground - stay tuned.
  4. Please contact our local representatives, Council members Dickens and Hillis, to express your support for the park and urge them to ensure needed repairs and maintenance are carried out promptly.
Streets Alive
This year, Streets Alive is combining the Eastside and Westside routes into one slightly audacious and delightfully cohesive Atlanta Streets Alive Cross-City, activating Dekalb Ave and Decatur Street, all the way to Marietta Street and Howell Mill Road! Don't miss out on this fun and unqiue event!
Security Patrol
Security Patrol renewals are coming up in the next couple of months! There are several ways to renew - via our website, check, or by PayPal. Please remember to pay your PayPal invoice when you receive it, and for those wanting to join the patrolled community, please email us for more information. For any current members in need of a new Security Patrol sign, please email us.
Elizabeth Hollister, Upper Westside CID Executive Director, was interviewed by Atlanta Business Chronicle in March. There were several Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) featured,  including the Upper Westside CID, specifically, for its ability to give small districts a voice and influence local infrastructure investments. We loved the shout outs to our upcoming master plan, our recent grant awards, and the Howell Mill Complete Street Project!

An offer for Underwood Hills from neighbors and Gold Sponsor, PetWell Veterinary Healthcare.
On Saturday, May 18 from 12 until 8PM, the Trust for Public Land brings you local brews, music, food trucks, and activities to celebrate the new Waterworks Greenspace and their #10MinWalk initiative to make sure everyone lives no further than 10 minutes from a great outdoor place! Over 135,000 Atlanta residents do not live within a 10-minute walk of a park, and the TPL is working to change that. Come out to this family friendly event to enjoy the outdoors. Bring a hammock or a slack-line to test out the new “hammock grove."

Neighborhood Shoutouts
Thank you to Chris LeCraw for his annual contributions, time and coordination for making our spring social such a great event year after year. Not only does he plan the event, he works to gather tons of local sponsorships for our raffle and sponsors for all the food and drink. This year Chris had a lot more on his plate but you would never know, he sure can still throw one heck of a party! Thank you again Chris for such a great event and a special thank you to your entire family for helping us out as well.
